Mark a conversation as read or unread

Conversations with unread messages are easy to spot: they show a red dot in the conversation list and are highlighted, so you always know what still needs attention.

A conversation is marked as read automatically as soon as you reply to it.

You can also mark it as read manually: open the conversation and click the Mark as read icon button (envelope) in the conversation header.

Once a conversation is read, the same header button changes to Mark as unread. Click it again to flag the conversation as unread — handy when you want to come back to it later. The conversation shows the red dot again, as if it were new.
