Shopify MCP: what information does the Shopify MCP provide?

The Shopify MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection gives Hikari CS secure, read-only access to key information in your Shopify store. This lets the AI Copilot and AI Agent standalone bot answer customer questions with accurate, up-to-date Shopify data.

When your project is connected to Shopify, the AI can use the following tools:

• Search shop policies and FAQs — Finds your store's policies (shipping, returns, refunds) and frequently asked questions so the AI can answer policy-related questions.
• Get product details — Retrieves details about a specific product, such as description, price, availability, and variants.
• Search catalog — Searches your entire product catalog to recommend products or check availability.

The AI Copilot and AI Agent standalone bot use these tools to:

• Answer order, shipping, and return policy questions using your actual store policies.
